The Challenge Foundation Inc. successfully runs the Crescent Cottage, which was opened in 1991. This is a family orientated Group Home environment, with the capacity to house 4 residents. The Crescent Cottage is a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, fully staffed home, that offers transport to & from work, day programmes & appointments for clients.
Clients are able to experience a homely lifestyle, and also recreational & weekend outings that are fully supervised by our staff. There are also shopping trips, dinner outings & movie nights, just to mention a few of our activities. Our clients are encouraged to lead an active, fulfilling life!!
Our staff are friendly & professional, with up to date training in all areas, & are overseen by Management (C.E.O- Margaret T. O’Neill/ Assistant Manager- Michael O’Neill). Challenge Foundation is composed of a Board of Directors, who hold a meeting monthly, ensuring the successful delivery of our services. Margaret O’Neill has been with the Challenge Foundation for 31 years, therefore able to extend her vast knowledge within our organisation.
We are currently undertaking the building of a New Facility, which will be able to house around 5 times the number of clients currently in our service. This facility will cater for the 18-65 year age group, which is greatly needed in Goulburn & surrounding areas. We will also incorporate a transport service for our clients.
Challenge Foundation have made it a priority to provide a home in which our clients feel content & safe, and it is high on our agenda to keep improving & updating our training, equipment & policies.
